Newton Celebrates National Nursing Home Week!

Newton Health Care Center focused a little closer to home for National Nursing Home Week. Their facility’s theme this year was “Living the Iowa Spirit, Our Favorite Iowa Festivals.” The week kicked off with the West Point Sweet Corn Festival on Monday.

 





Aloha from North Ridge Village!

North Ridge Village is celebrating the Aloha Spirit! The team decorated the entire place with surfboards, palm trees, and tropical plants. The snack shack features a beach-themed snack each day of the week – Monday we all enjoyed Pina Coladas and sandal cookies.





Corydon Celebrates National Nursing Home Week!

On Monday, Hawaiian Hoopla had begun for the Residents at Corydon Nursing and Rehabilitation.  The Residents enjoyed their trip to a Hawaiian paradise for National Nursing Home Week.  Complete with Hawaiian décor, dancing in grass skirts, Hawaiian music and food. Residents, staff, family and friends joined us for our luau fun.





Highland Celebrates National Nursing Home Week!

Residents and staff of Highland Nursing and Rehab enjoyed National Nursing Home Week to its fullest! Monday, they hosted a luau. It was a day of entertainment by a hula dancer!  Residents and staff enjoyed a hog roast with all the trimmings while listening to Polynesian music from the Coconut Band.  The ALOHA SPIRIT was enjoyed by all!





Ready to Get Back to Life!

Andrew Pea is ready to take life back on after a minor setback this April.  Mr. Pea is a very active 90 year old man who enjoys doing exercises, going for walks, and doing water classes twice a week.   In April he started to feel pain and weakness and it was found that he was in need of a hip replacement.  After the surgery, Mr.
