Pampering for National Nursing Home Week

Today for National Nursing Home Week at Grinnell Health Care Center, we had a "spa morning". We made homemade hand lotion with the residents all participating in making it. We then soaked and massaged our Residents hands with the homemade lotion.  The ladies then were treated to manicures. The "Spa" was a hit!

A Day of Pampering at Colonial!

On Sunday, the residents of Colonial Nursing and Rehab were treated to a full day of love.  In the morning, country crooner, Steve Lydell performed.  The ladies of Colonial picked the brunch menu, then a tea social was held.  We decked out the halls in lavenders and soft yellows.  Fine China was set out wit

Embracing the Aloha Spirit

On Tuesday, the Residents of Woodland Manor truly embraced the “Aloha Spirit” by participating in a wide variety of Hawaiian themed events.  What would “Living the Hawaii Life” be without water?  Our Residents had a blast at the pool today thanks to The Elkhart Youth and Community Center

The Fun has Just Begun at Bloomington!

We are continuing with the theme of living the Aloha Spirit by staying Tropical at Bloomington Nursing and Rehab. On Tuesday we focused on animals in Hawaii as well as our own pets. Staff brought in pictures of their pet and let the residents guess who they belonged to.
